Chai Cashew Butter

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cashews
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp cardamom
  • 1/4 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/8 tsp ground clove
  • 1/8 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt (plus more to taste)

Preparation

  • Process cashews for 5-10 minutes until smooth. Add spices and blend until smooth. Adjust salt to taste.
Cherry Coconut Butter

Ingredients

  • 2 cups unsweetened coconut flakes
  • 1/4 cup dried unsweetened cherries
  • 1 tsp sugar (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp salt (plus more to taste)

Preparation

  • Process coconut for 10-13 minutes until smooth and liquid. Add cherries, process for 2 minutes, then add sugar and salt. Adjust taste as needed.
Citrus Pine Nut Butter

Ingredients

  • 2 cups pine nuts
  • 1 tbsp white sugar
  • 2 tbsp lemon zest
  • 2 tbsp orange zest
  • 2 tbsp lime zest
  • Salt to taste

Preparation

  • Process pine nuts for 5-10 minutes until smooth. Combine sugar and zests, add to pine nuts, and blend until smooth. Adjust salt as needed. Best made a day ahead.
Chocolate Almond Butter

Ingredients

  • 2 cups almonds
  • 1/3 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup dried fruit (optional)
  • 1/4 tsp salt (plus more to taste)

Preparation

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Bake almonds for 5-10 minutes. Process with salt until smooth, adding more salt as needed.
Golden Turmeric Latte

Ingredients

  • 2 cups unsweetened almond milk
  • 1/4 tsp ground turmeric
  • 1 inch fresh ginger (smashed)
  • Pinch ground cinnamon
  • 2 tsp coconut oil
  • 1 tbsp honey

Preparation

  • Heat almond milk with turmeric, ginger, cinnamon, coconut oil, and honey. Simmer for 5 minutes. Strain, whisk until frothy, and serve warm or chilled with a sprinkle of turmeric.
